Maria Mleczko, one of our Age of Experience members, writes about her experiences of using public transport:
"My experiences on public transport – from an older adult with long term disabilities"
I am aware that this piece of writing may not resonate with everyone, but if I assist in giving just one person the confidence to spread their wings then that has to be a good thing.

I have been lucky to take the ferry across the channel, I have also travelled on trains and of course flying, which I find the easiest. I have visited; France, Germany, Switzerland and Greece, the furthest I have been is New Zealand. Nowadays, because of my health and safety and possible terrorist attacks, it can be extra challenging both here and abroad. There will always be negative people, try and surround yourself with positive people who will support and encourage you.
People should be encouraged to use what they do have and not focus on what they don't. We all need a little help from time to time.
