Ageing Better in Birmingham - LGBT Survey

Ageing Better is an exciting new initiative which aims to help older people become more involved in their local communities, have a voice in service provision and set up their own networks and activities, to reduce their social isolation.

This is a survey to gather views and experiences from members of the lesbian, gay, bi and trans communities of Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Your views will inform the development of a plan which aims to tackle the root causes of social isolation amongst older LGBT people. This plan will guide investment of £500,000 to address these issues.

We want to know what 50+ LGBT people think about ageing and the risks of becoming socially isolated – that is, not feeling that there are enough opportunities in your life to socialise with other people whilst being open about your LGBT identity. We would also welcome the thoughts and opinions of people under 50.
