Bring your community together & help those over 50 to overcome isolation

Nominations open to the Ageing Better Awards 2018

Citizens are at the heart of Ageing Better in Birmingham. They are the driving force in arranging and leading new activities to reach out to isolated people over 50. So far, over 4,700 people in Birmingham have been involved in starting something amazing within their communities to help people over 50 lead more fulfilling lives. All of our volunteers have gone above and beyond in their communities and we would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone involved!

We are inviting individuals that have been supported through Ageing Better in Birmingham activities to nominate their activity or a member of their group for an Ageing Better Award. We know that everybody involved in Ageing Better in Birmingham has started something special. The awards will recognise groups that have gone the extra mile in organising and supporting new activities.

You can nominate a group member or an activity to the following two awards (more details in the nomination form):

  1. Ageing Better Awards - Best contribution to the cause (individual)
  2. Ageing Better Awards - Best Ageing Better Activity (group)

To nominate, please fill out the nomination form and let us know which award you are nominating for.

The deadline for nominations is Friday 16th March 2018 at 5pm.

The winners will be selected by representatives of our Age of Experience group, who have all experienced isolation and are using this experience to help shape the Ageing Better in Birmingham programme. We will announce the winners on Friday 6th April.
