There are many great opportunities to get involved with Ageing Better in Birmingham.
Start your own activity!
If you have an idea for an activity that you think will benefit people over 50 in your community, you can start an Ageing Better Network. A network is basically a group of people who have decided to help and look out for people over 50 in their area.
Once you know what activity your network would like to start, you can apply to help cover the costs. Our Ageing Better Fund can help pay for costs up to £2,000. Whether you are setting up a walking group, an exercise or learning class, a craft activity, a community event or something else, reaching out to people you know are lonely is an excellent first step. Once you've done that, contact a Main Hub who will be able to help you set up your Ageing Better Network.
