Join us at Birmingham Hippodrome for an afternoon of queer reminiscence, art, tea and coffee during our Kindness Café. Inspired by the work of artist Ryan Kerney we will be combining queer archival materials from the theatre with artwork as we map the site of the old Nightingale and what it was like. We’ll also be airing our laundry in a drop-in art activity, drawing on and decorating underwear to add to our washing line (all pants provided and unused we promise!)
Tea, coffee, biscuits aplenty and relaxed company as we explore queer Birmingham history. Anything you make will support the exhibition launch and inspire performances on the night, so a great opportunity to shape new queer arts in the city.
Good company, showtunes, yummy treats and a safe and inclusive environment in the heart of the village. You don’t need to book – just drop in at any time.
